Development Brings Changes to The Pallasades Shopp
25th May 2012As work continues on the development of The Pallasades Shopping Centre and New Street, changes are underway to aspects of the centre itself.
At 7.00pm on 18th May the NCP car park above The Pallasades was closed.
The car park, which dates from the 1970s, will be demolished and in its place a modern secure facility built to complement the redeveloped Pallasades centre and John Lewis department store, which open in Autumn 2014.
On 25th May the stairs to Stephenson Street will be closed, and soon after that hoarding will go up along North Walk adjacent to The Perfume Shop which, along with other retailers in The Pallasades, will remain open.
New customer toilets are now open in The Pallasades opposite Tesco Express.
Jonathan Cheetham, General Manager at The Pallasades, said: We apologise for any inconvenience these changes may bring, and we hope that our customers will bear with us and understand that all this activity is key to developing the centre and the wider New Street area into something they will enjoy and of which Birmingham can be proud. Visitors can still get to The Pallasades easily from nearby car parks.
